What To Do If You Can't Sleep - 15 Tip For Better Sleep



A few nights ago, I had a dilemma – should I start watching a 2-hour movie, although I know that I should be sleeping in an hour? I decided that I will watch just a half of the movie, and I will watch the rest the next day. Great plan, isn’t it?

The movie turned out to be so interesting, that I couldn’t stop watching. Eventually, I turned off the TV 15 minutes after my bedtime. I closed my eyes and I kept thinking about the movie. Wondering how it will end.

I tried not to think and just fall asleep, but it just only got worse. Do you know that feeling, when you want to sleep so badly, but your brain recalls all possible memories and makes you think about them all at once?

The Challenge Book: The Item Of The Day



This month's chapter of The Challenge Book is for those who like collectibles. It reminds me a little bit of a quest in a game. Each challenge contains an object that you'll need to find. Sometimes it will be easy, some items you can find in your house, like a bottle cap. But sometimes you'll have to make a little bit of an effort to complete the task, for example getting a napkin from a restaurant.

On top of that, yesterday's morning surprised me with a massive snowfall. I can see and feel that Christmas is coming. Yay! Well, I’ve got such spots. I see them when I do deep cleanings and it makes the whole process never-ending because I have to clean all those things that I forgot about at once. I also see them when guests are about to come, and I nervously clean them, telling myself that next time I have to remember about them. But guess what - I forget again or I’ve got some other things to do and I put it off.

Since I started learning about organizing my life and time management, cleaning has been a big part of that. Bigger than I realized. How can I have a peaceful, organized life, when my space is cluttered? How can I manage my time, when I spend most of it on looking for things in my house because I never know where they are?

 Sometimes I have moments in my life when I stress too much, I’m sure we all have them. Small amounts of stress in particular situations may be motivating, but when I’m in a stressful situation for more than one day, it starts to eat me from inside, and I begin to worry about everything, even about things that normally I wouldn’t care about. When this process begins it’s really difficult for me to stop it. Even making lists and organizing everything doesn’t help.

6 Things I've Learned About Making Lists

I come to work, make my coffee, surf on the Internet a little bit, look through documents on my desk, I choose the most urgent work to do and I start doing it. Sounds like a normal work day and it could actually work, but then the desk phone rings, my boss comes to me and waits when I finish the call to tell me something, I can see another person approaching my desk, everyone’s work is always so important, it can’t wait even five minutes. At the same time my cell phone rings, I can see some emails coming in. After I handle all of those things, there is a very, very important meeting that no one knew about before and when it’s all over I sit back to my desk and I completely don’t remember what I was doing.
